I just got a marketing email from Fitbit stating the Sense 2 and Versa 4 are on sale. $100 off. So $200 for the Sense 2 (I paid $300 on presale)!!
Furthermore, there’s an Upgrade Now link that takes you to the Pixel watch!
I was withholding judgement but now am seriously pissed.
Does a paste of a picture work here?

You might want to carefully check the email source. Just because it tries to look like it is from Fitbit doesn't mean it is. I would seriously question any sale offer so soon.

I hope you’re right. Also the same time is very short (through Oct 22), which seems suspicious. But I looked at the address it came from (“noreply at e.Fitbit dot com” and it’s the same address that I’ve seen on other marketing emails, such as emails selling bands and accessories.

I got the same email and asked for a price match since I've only had my sense 2 for a week.

Seems very legit to me. I guess they have to get rid off of all the sense 2 and versa 4 that have been returned.

@moviediva Did they give you a price match? Did you do that by phone (or chat?).

I did it by chat and was told that I would be refunded the difference.

The Fitbit chat person tells me I’d have to return the watch to get a full refund and that they will not reimburse the $100.

I complained and they elevated it. We will see!

Seems like good customer service to price match - instead of returning the item and maybe losing a customer- in the long run it will cost them more with shipping and tasking someone to do refunds. Keep us posted.

@rbittman I got this email as well with a unique code to use at check out, but even at $199 this watch still is more expensive then the Ionic discount store was for the Original Sense and that included a free band and 1 year free of premium.
With all the features stripped, aluminum over stainless steel, and worse battery amperage, the original Sense is still a better deal.
Now if they would discount the Pixel Watch, I would get that as it compares to my old Ionic in features.

Did you click on “upgrade now?” It goes to the Pixel watch. What in the world is going on over there? Is everyone just so frazzled they send out weird marketing emails with incorrect links now? Sheesh.

@rbittman When I hit the upgrade it goes to Fitbit Store for Sense 2, not the Pixel Watch, if I could get $100 off of that I would get it.

This is what I see when I click on Upgrade Now. If I scroll down the page, the Sense 2 deal is there. It’s in very small print.

Let me say that @YojanaFitbit didn't clarify much the subject...
A better editing would have been "Sense 2 and Versa 4 prices have been heavily reduced"

I will add, sometimes I would like to see the before and after of the mod's edits/"clarifications"; not sure they are always true to the original poster's intent.

@JohnnyRow I agree with you, the editing by the mods should be transparent as in manyy cases they change completely the meaning.

Just a note to say Fitbit did not email me as they said they would in order to settle what I see as a fair return of $100 since I paid full price and 2 weeks later it’s $100 off.
I really think this is poor sales policy. 😞

@rbittman I think it's probably better to return it whilst you can, and then purchase again using the discount that you've been offered.

I wanted to like this watch so much. I love the physical button and and the battery life and the smaller form factor. But in so many other ways, it’s a downgrade from the Versa 3. I’m returning the Sense 2 and going back to the Versa 3. I will also try an SE2 Apple Watch as I’m an iPhone user. The reviews on the SE2 indicate the metrics I care about (HR, steps, GPS, and sleep tracking) all are more accurate than on the Fitbits. Apple used to have crummy sleep tracking, which was why I waited. The battery life is still a problem though.
Im sad to return the Sense 2, but it’s just an inferior product. If it cost $150, I might’ve kept it.
