Sense issues after swimming

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I went swimming for about 20 minutes two days ago. Since then the battery has been draining very quickly (2-3 hours from full). As of yesterday the touch screen is not working, so it's mostly unusable even for the brief time it is charged.

Hi @Slbarnes.

It sounds as though your device could have water damage. In this case I would contact customer support (here). Although it's worth trying a restart first to see if that might solve the issue.

I agree, it's a water damage issue and Support does need to be contacted, as @N8teGee suggested.  While you're waiting to hear from support, you could try and dry residual water out from the pebble by leaving it in white rice (which acts as a starch and tends to dry out water).  This may not be able to repair all the damage, but it couldn't hurt.

Welcome to the Fitbit community, @Slbarnes!

Sad to hear about what has happened to your Sense 2. To prevent another water damage in the future, I'd suggest to avoid using any button of any device while it is wet. And please follow the suggestions here to keep your device in good condition after it has gotten wet:

Can I swim or shower with my Fitbit device?
