Can anyone help. Just got a sense 2 (previously had a versa 2) and added new device, synced etc etc BUT I’m unable to instal Spotify and Google Assistant. Watch is pretty pointless if I can’t control my music on it and use Google Assistant, which seems stupid for an apparently better watch.
if someone can help on the Spotify and Google Assistant issue I’d really appreciate it - thanks all

t. Parker this is not the solution. Sense 2 must be better smartwatch than Sense 1. I think Fitbit must release a firmware with support of everything what we had before.

Hi @Nandor - unfortunately an update with all features of a Sense 1 is highly unlikely to happen, no matter how much you or others would like it
if you are unhappy with the watch Fitbit have a 45 day refund policy or possibly authorised dealers too, some stores provide 14 to 30 day refunds.

@Nandor the problem is that Fitbit has no pressure to make Sense 2 better smartwatch. By writing complaints on the forum you won't change Fitbit's roadmap. Voting with wallets is the ONLY thing that may work. It's been months since release of Sense 2 and where we are now? There was one FW update bringing just a little to the table. No news about future update. No communication from the company side. If I compare it with Garmin, every few weeks I get an update and I updated my Fenix 7 just yesterday. This tells you that the device you own is a living product. I get in my feed news in regard with all major sports watch manufacturers. When news is about Garmin it's usually something like "big update is coming with tens of new features" with an expected date of release. That tells me only that Sense 2 is a dead product. It reached its maturity with release of all advertised features. I hope I am wrong but I don't expect any game changing update anymore. It's more likely Fitbit has already focused on next device. So what is your idea that an individual user can do to force Fitbit to make Sense 2 into the device it should be? I don't have any other idea. I don't work for Fitbit to affect their plans and, as I said before, as any big company they plan months if not years ahead. All I can do is either buying the device or not. This is reality.

This is not the way it should be. I bought Sense 2 because I haven't noticed on Fitbit webpage that no 3rd party apps will be available on this watch. Also it was not mentioned that even music control is removed. This is not the right way of treating buyers who are with Fitbit for 10 years. Giving up of fight is easy, but pushing the right way is my way. It doesn't matter the google watch is on the market because that is another watch, and we bought separately this one. So it must at least as good as Sense 1. More and more users should start to talk with Fitbit about this issue, and they will listen.

@Nandor not the way it should be but it is the way it is. Many things haven't been mentioned but this was a tricky part. It was not mentioned Sense 2 had music controls, either. The only thing that was misadvertised was about thousands of apps but Fitbit is very careful what says and what doesn't say. Voting with money is not giving up. It's a free choice of every customer. Nothing hurts customer oriented business as much as a customer going to spend money somewhere else. It hurts more than posting on this forum. You still didn't answer my question. How are you going fight for better Sense 2? What are the options? If it's something good I may join that fight, too.

Hello Parker. I talked on Fitbit help with one agent. I saved the talk where she recognised my problem. This is what you should also do. Talk with an agent, complain, save the text, and we can go further on.

@Nandor and you really think your complaint mattered? I'm not even sure if agents are humans or bots, often giving contradicting responses and when run out of script they start making things up. And then, your complaint is forgotten. Where further you wanna go with saved conversation? How is it going to improve the product? How your Sense 2 is going to get better and when? You need it to work properly now not in a year or two, right? This is just naive. In fact, for Fitbit, you are a perfect customer who will always pay regardless the quality of product. It's like what Strava did recently increasing prices without telling customers counting that users who have been there for many years will moan a little but pay regardless. Some will leave but majority will continue paying. Moreover, people don't learn. When Fitbit announces Sense 3 people will instantly forget everything and rush to make preorders. It's same scenario every time. If you want to show disapproval don't preorder, don't rush to purchase new device until you know it meets your criteria. And if doesn't meet don't buy. Or you can buy, complain, save conversations with agents and... well nothing is going to happen. Companies understand only financial loss but with so many "loyal customers" it's not going to bite them. I'm in the UK and individual cannot get any outcome from reporting Fitbit to Advertising Standards Agency for misleading advertising because guess what... Fitbit isn't registered in the UK! Sorry, but you are dreaming. You want to change something? Don't buy next product until you know it does what you want and how you want.
What I do (not only with Fitbit) is getting devices and testing them thoroughly so I can keep other customers aware of issues. I can't change company's mind but can change customer's mind so they won't waste their money.

my sense died 1 week ago and i decided to get sense 2 instead of a replacement! because i thought it will have the same properties as Sense. This is not naive to think! The nativity comes whenyou think you cannot do anything. This is a situation when i bought a productwhat i tought on my experience be better than the last one. it should be like that. We need to complain this ishow the world change. Im not going to get a garmin because idont want to give my health data to another company. if you think its good to gi e everyone your hearthbeat information than go ahead 😉 Sense to right now its only the expensiver version of the tracker charge 5 and thats not good at all! I will try to fight.

@Nandor I never said nothing could be done. Contrary, sending back the product for full refund or not placing another order is the way to go and in volume it would have some effect. I may just understand big corp world slightly better (especially that I'm part of it). You may complain as much as you want. That's fine. It's a human thing to complain. Maybe somebody there will think "oh no, Nandor didn't get experience he expected 😪 we need to fix it ASAP, cancel current road map right now!" but well... it's very unlikely to happen (although who knows, stranger things happened).
We won't find agreement because my philosophy is simple - I value my time and money (although, I'm lucky, I can buy any watch just for having it, yet with Sense 2 I was close to send it back but decided to keep it and see the show called "releasing Google Maps" sitting in the front row 😋). Basically, if a company doesn't want my money I will spend it somewhere else. I'm not loyal to any brand. I expect product to meet my needs at the moment of buying it and if it doesn't I will get something else 🤷:male_sign:. Here's where we are not going to agree. I'm not holding on to a company. I need working product and service and don't want to spend hours contacting customer support. Well, some people like apples, others oranges 🙂 that's all from me on that topic because I have a feeling we will see moderators scissors in action (which will show how much those complaints are really worth).

Hi everyone.
Thanks for taking the time to share your insights. As you may know, Spotify and Google Assistant aren't available on the Sense 2. I'm sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. My best advice is to add your votes to the following ideas, so our developers can take them into consideration:
To keep the forums on topic, I'm going to close this thread from further comments. Your feedback is appreciated and we'll continue working to improve our devices, services, and the overall Fitbit experience.
