My Sense 2 counts thousands of steps on my commute, even when set to dominant hand. Understandable, there are limitations to this sort of technology.
What I find ridiculous is that there doesn't seem to be any way to remove the extra steps in the app without deleting the entire day's data. In searching for the answer to this, I found old threads saying you could add an activity for "driving" that would remove them. This doesn't seem to be an option anymore, and manually adding an activity doesn't seem to do anything.
Fitbit support told me there has never been a solution to this problem (despite an earlier rep telling me to add a driving activity) so I'm here as a last-ditch effort before returning my fitbit.
Does anyone know how to remove extra steps? Say, from a specific hour slot?

Hello and welcome to the Fitbit Community, @AveryVeritas.
Thanks for letting me know about this situation with the step tracking of your Sense 2 while driving. I understand how you feel, I'll do the best I can to help you.
I appreciate your efforts in contacting support, the situation is that the Sense 2 uses a 3-axis accelerometer to detect movement patterns, including frequency, duration, and intensity, that indicate walking or running, since your hand is in movement while driving this is why it tracks steps. You can edit, add or delete activities, for more information check this article.
You can also not wear your Sense 2 so it will not track anything.

Like I said, I completely understand the steps being counted. There's no way for the device to tell the difference between steps and other movement.
What I'm asking for is a way to delete the extra steps from the app without deleting the entire day's worth of steps.
You linked an article, can you please point to me where in the article it explains how to do this? There's a section labeled "How to delete steps and floors in the Fitbit app" but when I follow the instructions my only options are to delete ALL steps data or delete the entire day's steps. Screenshots attached.
