Swimming with Sense2

I intend to use my Sense2 for the first time when swimming, going on a vacation soon - outdoor swimming-pool. I see I can set up an exercise swimming and length of pool 24 metres - but I read somewhere one should "lock" the clock to keep out water (???) - is that so and how do I do that? - I hope I don't risk ruining my watch using it in water - so that I have to stay without it for the rest of my vacation

When you select Swim as activity that is all you need to do. Water lock is automatically engaged and it's only to keep water from interacting with the screen. It doesn't make your watch water resistant because it already is.

As far as l can see it will only tell you how much time you spend swimming. It does not count lengths anymore like it used to so it is about as much use as a clock.

Thank you - that was easy, I just start and stop the exercise - (this post should be deleted, but I can't see that option)

But I see on the exercise I can pick the right length of the pool, and then get my distance afterwards (?)

Did you find out how to have the distance in open water?

when I bought it they assured me that sensec2 counts the swimming distance in ope waters!

Fitbits don't support open water swimming.

I just upgraded my Sense to Sense2 and noticed that it no longer counts laps.  Is there a work around?

@ns61817 no, swimming on Sense 2 has been downgraded.
