The impact of overnight gaps in sleep and heart bpm data

IMG_3492.jpegGoogle Fitbit, this is the impact of the overnight gaps in Sleep data / heart BPM data being captured in the new App. It negatively impacts all the corresponding health metrics information and it’s resulting in incorrect advice.

Many people are reporting this gap in data issue (and similar issues) with sleep scores/sleep data, not just in the Sense 2 group.

After 5 consecutive days of everything working 100% I’m back to it not working again. With the inconsistency that this is presenting, I question the value of Premium Subscription.

I have asked previously and I politely ask again, please can Google Fitbit provide an update on when this issue will be fully resolved? If you need screenshots, or more information I’m more than happy to provide it.

Have you tried resetting the device? Or have you tried reinstalling?

Hi @SunsetRunner  Both great troubleshooting suggestions thank you but sadly neither those made any difference when I tried them backalong and trust me I have also tried many different combinations of things since then. This has been ongoing since October, it’s since the day I installed the new App (which was then v4.0) which leads me to believe it’s an App related issue. That said though I currently have a three-day streak of successful sleep and heart rate data capture and the only thing that I have done differently this time is to disconnect the App from my phone’s Bluetooth overnight (and I put my phone in Airplane mode). In the morning switch it back on and re pair the Fitbit App with Bluetooth. Sync the App, perhaps more than once.

It may be a coincidence, I really don’t know I will have to see. The maximum consecutive number of days of successful data capture prior to this has been five so I’ll see if I can beat my personal record before making that decision.

Same issue with my new Sense2 that I have worn 24/7. 

Very frustrated with the data collection/reporting issues.
