Time on Sense 2 clock face differs from exercise

I have recently bought Fitbit Sense 2. I workout everyday and for that I use Exercise App almost everyday.

I noticed something strange, while working out, if you have to check the time , you can simply slide from calories--steps---time remaining--- current time.

To my surprise, the current time period is in wrong format, for example if I workout in the morning 7am, it should show 7:00am. Instead its displaying as 7:00pm.

But when the workout is complete, the app is updated with correct time period.

Well, I guess I jumped the gun. I tested it yesterday after the App update. Three different types of exercise and it worked each time. Now today it isn’t working again. I restarted my Fitbit and my phone, wrong time again (am vs pm).

I am seriously thinking of taking this utter rubbish back to Harvey Normans as Fitbit is hopeless since it has the time issue saying to me make sure I have the watch on when I am in bed to get the oxygen levels, as it is always on I am getting those levels when I am awake not when I am a sleep, as iam getting them during the day not at night so I wonder how many other things that are not working correctly because of the time issue $500 for the watch and $120 Torun premium is a tad too steep when they can't get things right

Another GLITCH that needs to be fixed. I understand they are referencing time but PM is not necessary and shows lack of attention to details

This issue occurred to some users and has been reported previously (December last year for Versa 4, here ). Well... don't hold your breath waiting for the fix.

I'm coming from Garmin. They would have IMMEDIATELY fixed such a minor glitch. Obviously Fitbit is not concerned about customer service whatsoever. Quite frankly the Sense 2 I have seems like a toy compared to Garmin. App structure is amateurish to say the least. This watch should realistically sell for $49 with the rest of the Chinese imports. Looks like back to Garmin for me!

Thanks for the reply.

@glick1 I use Garmin as my primary sports watch so I know how Garmin deals with fixing issues and updates. Since I got Fenix 7 in September last year it received several updates (fixing bugs and bringing new features) while Sense 2 received just one update and it looks like the product is abandoned.

I tried the fitbit Sense 2 based upon its form factor and having seen all the negative reviews, I thought to myself " How bad could it be", Wow, it's pretty bad. This is certainly not a $200 watch. It doesnt warrant anywhere near a cost of $80 a year for basic metrics. Being the eternal optimist I might hold on to it for another few weeks to see if there is a firmware update. In the meantime I'll go back to my Fenix 6 pro. This watch right now is a toy at best.

Strange the so called bug may only affect Australia, as I had last night changed mine to Canada and to a vanvouver time zone, and it showed the correct time in the exercise sections, I did the same for Hobart, Melbourne and Sydney all are 12 hours out, and I have found that the time zone issues do affect some apps such as the oxygen sensor and even the sleep monitoring ones because they seem to work not when you are asleep.

It has not for me and I have been on the phone a few times to get this thing sorted out as it does affect some applications as the oxygen sensor takes the levels when you are awake and not asleep when  it is meant to, and the sleep monitoring is also affected, and I am over telling support staff that do not want to listen.  I know the Australian Eastern Standard Time Zones are way out by 12 hours, which is disgusting twice I had been offered a refund and I keep telling them its not the devices but their android app that is where the issues lay, and time they get their tech teams to fix it, last night again was  offered another refund, this time I swore in the email I had sent back as they are nothing but utter hopeless,. so I think I will be taking my scales back for a refund today to one business and my sesnse 2 back to the other place where I had brought it from

Hi there, @Jaysblueaus123.

Thanks for the detailed information, and the time taken while contacting our Support team. Let me clarify this issue is affecting our members using 12h as the time format, regardless of their location. I apologize for this inconvenience. While I don't have a time frame for the fix, please know our team is working hard to get this resolved and this thread will be updated as soon as we have more information from them.

When I have started a workout, I can swipe to see the time of day during that workout. However, it always shows me PM time instead of AM or PM.

When I am exercise at 8:00 pm in the exercise mode it shows 8:00 am.  Is there a way to change it on the sense 2.

I am having the same issue and have done all the trouble shooting that everyone has posted. I have contacted Fitbit customer service 4 times about this already.  Nothing seems to fix the problem.  I agree that it's very annoying and frustrating to spend this kind of money and not have basic functionality.  Bring back the Versa 3!  I used that one and never had any issues.

HI @eswood0929 - the difference in the exercise time is a bug - resolved if you switch to 24 hr clock.

For info. The Sense and Versa 3 are still available in many shops for how long is not known. They are also cheaper and have more features and less bugs.
