Unable to start sense 2 after firmware update

ANSWERED

Hi

My Sense 2 watch has recently started dying during the day and won't switch back on until I plug it into the charger.  This happens several times a week and is becoming very frustrating!  I have tried to complete a factory reset but it doesn't work and displays a Red X then switches off.

I m using this watch since last 2 years. This happened after the firmware update.

I did all ways to fix it as mentioned here in community and as directed by help center. They are saying it's defective.

What to do??

Hi there @Mandar_D!

A warm welcome to the Fitbit Community!

Thank you so much for letting us know that your Sense 2 only shows a red X and then switches off. Thanks for all your efforts too.

I suggest you try to do the following:

  • Sync your Sense 2 with the Fitbit app. From the Today tab, tap the devices icon and then "Sense 2" and then "Sync Now".
  • Afterwards try to open the Gallery by tapping the devices icon and then "Sense 2" and then Gallery. The app should show a pop up.
  • Lastly try to restart your Sense 2 again: press and hold the button for 10 seconds until the Fitbit logo appears on the screen, and then release the button.

Hi @FatimaFitbit

Thanks for your suggestions, but I have tried all these steps. Nothing is working out.

As on today even power button is also not working without plugged in. Not even mild vibrations which was previously there few weeks before.

I had word with call centre, they are saying it will not work you can scrap it.

It is not at all expected from company like Google/Fitbit. I am not a single person who is facing this issue after firmware update.. there are  number of Fitbit users who facing this issue. I am still having hopes that there must be some solution.

Thanks.

I’ve been dealing with an issue with my Fitbit Sense 2 for about two weeks. I tried a factory reset, which briefly fixed it for a couple of days, but now it’s back to not working properly. I’m disappointed that there’s no clear solution to this problem. It’s frustrating! I need to replace my watch, and regrettably, I’ll be switching to a different brand. What a shame.

Absolutely nothing happening on mine. Not even on the charger.
