Weather App & Body Responses on Device Not Working. Help!

After buying a new Sense 2 yesterday, I went about setting up the Weather app and noticed a bug I can't seem to fix. After granting all permissions, and ensuring that the automatic location setting is on, I went into 'settings' and tried to add addional cities. On typing in a city name, nothing comes up. The search bar just searches and searches until it eventually times out. I've tried uninstalling the app, resetting my Fitbit, disconnecting it from my phone and starting again. I've also tried a factory reset but nothing seems to fix it. Any advice?

Screenshot_20231026_133803.jpgAlso, and I don't think I'm alone here, the Body Responses tile on my tracker isn't working either. It doesn't matter what I seem to do, it tells me to 'Open the app on my phone to get started'. It's tracking on my app, but doesn't translate over to my device. I've tried the same fixes I've tried for the Weather app, but to no avail. I've searched the forums and it sounds like this is a common issue? Are there any fixes coming for this in a further update?

Just feeling really irritated. I expected a lot more from a device this expensive straight out of the box.

I’m having the same issue - thinking about returning my watch. I’ve had it for a month and Fitbit have done nothing to solve this issue! ☹️

It's honestly so annoying. I spent and hour doing a factory reset earlier and it still hasn't fixed the issue, so I give up. It's not a deal breaker because the apps aren't imperative to the overall functionality I bought the tracker for, but that's also not the point. We shouldn't be having these issues with a product that's new out of the box. I'm hoping an update is imminent, but it also looks unlikely since this isn't a new issue. Sigh.

Hi,

For the weather app, just kill the fitbit app in android app settings and try again. you should then be able to setup your city.

Body response never worked for me either, - same behavior - so i created a new account and after that the body response is working. i know it's not a very good option, but this only fixes my problems with the body responce. i had the issue, that the necessary settings for body responce newer sticked.

Markus

This has been an issue since day 1 with the Sense 2, you are unable to add additional locations to the weather app.  At least on Android.

Additionally, the weather app is inconsistent, at best, at syncing weather data from your device.  Also, at least on Android.

I wrote this here in February 2023 that the weather was not updating properly and so far nothing has happened from Fitbit:

"After installing Firmware 1.184.52 and updating the Fitbit App to version 3.71, the weather on the watch no longer syncs.

All necessary permission for the Firbit App and Weather App are set correcly.

I've tried reinstalling the Fitbit App, but that didn't help either.

The only thing that helps to sync the weather again is to stop the Fitbit App and start it again. I set up a task in Tasker that does this at a certain interval in the background, but that's only a temporary solution."
