Why isn't American Express available Google Wallet for Fitbit??

Why can't I add American Express to Google Wallet for Fitbit? What is the problem with American Express why it cannot be added? It is a major credit and for a lot of people it is their main credit card. If it can be added to Google Pay why then is there a problem adding it to fitbit. I already see and know it's not on the list which is why I am asking what is the issue with American Express why it is not on the list? It's absurd to not have access to a major credit card for contactless payments. Contactless payments is the main reason I chose Sense 2. Fitbit falsely advertises this feature by not telling customers they are limited to Visa and Mastercard.

American Express needs to be made available on Google Wallet for fitbit.

@RebeccaNYC it is up to the issuers of the credit cards to decide whether they want to support Google Wallet for Fitbit. There is nothing Fitbit or Google can do to compel them to let their cardholders use that service.

I've been in touch with American Express several times the past couple months with this problem.  (If you type American Express in the Fitbit Forum search bar, you can see this problem goes back YEARS).  American Express tells me it's a Fitbit issue.  They even sent me a new replacement card to see if that would work.  Didn't work.  Fitbit is the WORST in fixing issues.  Fitbit even eliminated their email support where you would be able to send detailed info with attachments.  Fitbit chat is worthless - they just want you to check if you have latest software then ask you to restart the device.  Beyond that they are no help and you can't get to the higher ups that might be able to do something.

I've spoken to American Express several times.  They claim it is a Fitbit problem.  AmEx even sent me a new card to try.  Still doesn't work.  Impossible to get through to someone at Fitbit to get an answer.

@9422   Google Wallet for Fitbit is different from Google Pay on your phone.  Help article   I found this page with information about American Express and Fitbit Pay and there others.  There are no pages that have any information about Google Wallet for Fitbit.  Please verify with AMEX that you mean Google Wallet for Fitbit.

Thank for info.  That's certainly more of a response than I can get from Fitbit.   I've explained the "Google Wallet for Fitbit" to American Express several times on several calls.  They continue say it is a Fitbit problem.

Thanks for response.  American Express continues to say it's a Fitbit problem.  AmEx even sent me a new card to try.  New card also doesn't work. Most frustrating part is Fitbit not responding since this appears to be an issue going back several years.

@9422   Here is a current page regarding American Express and Digital Wallets.  Google Wallet for Fitbit is different from Google Pay on your phone.  It doesn't look like AMEX participates in Google Wallet for Fitbit.
