Will the Sense 2 display lengths swum

The first version of Versa was able to do this, but sadly mine died after 1.5 years. My replacement Versa 2 doesn't do this and I miss it a lot.

I see in the manual that the Sense 2 will have a gyroscope, so I guess it should be able to do this. However, in their help section under What are my options for swim tracking with my Fitbit device?  it states you can only see the duration on your watch (if I understand it correctly).

So, I'm a little confused. Does this mean I should purchase the Sense 1 to see how many laps I've swum on my wrist?

Looks like yet another downgrade from Sense. At this rate we are going to be lucky if by release date it will count steps 😆

This can't be answered until the release of the Sense 2. My thinking is that the calculation of the laps have been removed from the watch and onto the server. Probably to help take some of the processing load off of the watch.
