99%???

hi all

my wonderful friends at work brought me a replacement sense as an early birthday present

All set up fine but ive charged it twice since i got it.....nothing wrong with the battery its getting a good 5 days life. no battery drain however from the first charge it will only charge to 99% before lighting up to tell me its full ive tried leaving it on charge for a while more but it wont pass 99%

Again nothing wrong with battery whatsoever keeps charge no unusual drain 5 + days of battery life 

ive never had this before with any Fitbit device they've always charged to 100%

i have read that certain batteries will just charge to optimum % and i'm not unduly worried lust wondering if anyone is experiencing this?

Anyway so glad to have a sense again!

I read where it takes quite a while to ge the last 2%

I use the simpleclockpro as a clock face and it gives me a lot of charging data, like progress when charging, current status and I can watch it progress. Also provides estimated time until 100% fully charged.  I can request the clock face stay lit while charging so I can always check status. Also has log of last charge, and I can get an estimate of how long until charge is depleted. I guess the estimate is based on previous use cause I sometimes go for walks and use gps. It drains the charge rather quickly. There are days that I do not use gps or walk. I like the ability to track charging info and see how the battery is holding up.

I have no battery issues per say just the fact that it will charge to 99% yet no further..yet I have no battery drain and still get a good 5 days use

I will however as you said you've read it can take a while to reach the last 2% leave it on charge a little longer 

I just found it strange as with all my previous fitbit devices including my last sense all would charge to 100% but its holding charge battery is working as it should...as long as that continues 99% is OK

Not getting that extra charge of 2% is odd. However,  getting  5 days use between charges is very good. I’ll take that trade off everyday!

Yeah I've been really lucky this new Sense and my previous one (RIP) has had great battery life I get a good 5 days and could push it to 6 ....but I don't use AOD or snore report so that could be it 

I do use all the other features GPS notifications etc ...just seem to have great luck battery wise
