Add pushing a stroller as an exercise on Fitbit devices

I feel like Fitbit or fitness devices may be missing a trick here. Being a mum, during and after having kids in the early days I put on weight and knew after I’d want to get fit and healthy. Reckon a lot of parents can relate. Wearing my Fitbit and pushing a buggy it logs as a bike riding- why isn’t there an icon for this!? Sure’ll this would be a cross between walking and cycling to get the data and writing code(I’m probably being simple about it as have no idea in this aspect. But surely this would be a great target market? Wouldn’t it have longevity and be on point for your mission statement? Who knows! Just felt I had to write this down and if ever comes to fruitions and you make some profit and help parents get fit, give me some tiny credit 😉 lol

Hello there, @CuriousDope. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thank you so much for taking the time to share your personal experience and your ideas regarding adding this activity within the other exercise options available on Fitbit devices. I understand how motivating this could be for all parents on the same road as you!

As a first approach, please let me share with you that when a specific exercise is not available within the exercises we offer, we suggest to use "Workout" (which is a generic catch-all for other types of exercise). Once you finish the activity, you can rename the activity to desired exercise/activity. Nevertheless, please note that the amount of calories burned vary from the exercise you're performing and due to the heart rate tracked by your Fitbit device.

Note that the information to enter will change depending on the nature of the exercise. To give you an example, if you change from "Workout" to "Run", it won't remove the calories but will add distance as the main stat to be displayed, this happen depending of the activity you are categorizing. However, your the data already tracked will be still counted for your daily totals.

For more information about how to do so, see How do I add, edit, or delete Fitbit data and activities?

As for formally adding this activity to the exercises available, we rely on feedback like yours to help us develop products and features that we know our community wants to see. The best place to make your voice heard is the Product Feedback  board on our community.

Have a good day and enjoy your fitness journey!
