The exercise shortcuts for the Sense are a nightmare. I have four regular exercises that I used to be able to select with the Ionic.
They were stable and showed up in the order I selected.
Google has removed the shortcut option in the Sense mobile app. You can only select the shortcuts in the watch. The process is clumsy and not very smart. Each time you select an excuse it moves it to the top and cancels the previous shortcuts. It also leaves in the list countless of useless shortcuts I will never use.
Please reinstate the original shortcuts option as with the Ionic

Hi @alex-w and @Mike_Croy. It's always great to see you here in the forums.
@alex-w, thanks for sharing that you have the Sense and I'm sorry for the inconvenience experienced while using the Exercise app. Let me explain that the shortcuts list was removed from the Fitbit app so our members could have access to all the shortcuts at once without needing your phone to do the changes. I understand why you'd like to customize the exercise shortcuts list on your watch and while this isn't possible at this moment, I'd encourage you to post it in the Feature Suggestions board. This way, other members can vote for it and our developers can take it into consideration for future improvements. Be sure that your feedback won't be taken for granted.
@Mike_Croy, thanks for stopping by to help this member. I'm sure your post will be found very helpful by other Community members.

Hi @alex-w That is correct - you cannot re-order or delete exercises. By using exercises they will automatically be placed at the top of the list (recents).
Another option is to add some (up to 4) exercises to the shortcuts - you can select separate exercises however, selecting starts the exercise immediately and does not wait for the GPS to connect. See also: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Sense/Exercise-Shortcut-Ordering/m-p/4518461#M3464

Thanks Lizzy your reply was helpful in that you gave me a way to suggest the reintroduction of exercises and shortcuts for Sense. The option is available in the App for all the other watches. It has worked perfectly for everyone since it's inception. The way it is in the Sense is clumsy, unintelligent and inconvenient. Allow the user to decide which exercise they want to see and in which order they display. Such a high price item should have that simple option. There should also not be a limit on the number of exercises you see. Again let the user decide.

@alex-w In case you didn't understand, you can see all the exercise types on your wrist in the Exercise App. After you choose one, it automatically goes to the top of the list so next time it will be the first one. It is intelligently re-ordering them for you so your most-used options stay near the top.

Hi @alex-w, it's good to see you here again. @JohnnyRow, thanks for your great help!
@alex-w, you're welcome and thanks to you for taking the time to share your feedback. I understand your point of view and while it's not possible to manually change the shortcuts, as @JohnnyRow mentioned, the exercises that you regularly do will go to the top as Recent so you can have an easier access when opening the Exercise app. Your comments will still be passed along so our team can work on our devices and enhance your experience with them.

I have not found that the list of exercises is reordered after doing an exercise. I just did a walk with my new sense and "bike" is still at the top of the exercises. All of the exercises are listed alphabetically with "walk" near the bottom of the list. The list is so long, it is quite tedious when I forget to choose an exercise before I start off on a walk and have my dogs pulling in excitement while I am scrolling through the list. Definite downgrade from my versa!

Hi there, @marycappy18.
Thanks for joining this thread and sharing your experience with the Sense. Just to confirm, did you start your walk directly from your watch? I'm asking this as the list will update and bring the last exercise performed at the top when using this app. However, if your exercise was recorded via SmartTrack or through the Fitbit app, the list will remain the same. To learn more about the Exercise app, please see this help article.
I still understand how you're feeling about not being able to customize your list. Our team constantly works on our devices to improve their performance, and the input we receive from our members is a big part of the process. For this reason, I'd encourage you to vote for this request posted in the Feature suggestions board. The more votes an idea receives, the better chance it has of getting the attention of the developers.

I've been using my new Sense for a couple days. The Exercise list is something that I saw right away is going to be a pain. I have used the Walk exercise, yet it still remains near the bottom of the - long - list. Many of which I will never use. 🫤

Hi there, @Daddio25.
Thanks for joining this thread and sharing your thoughts about the Exercise app. Let me explain that after choosing any exercise such as Walk, the Sense will add those exercises automatically to the Recent list so you won't have to scroll down to find it next time.
Nevertheless, I appreciate your feedback and please know it won't go unnoticed as it'll help us to improve our features and services, as well as the overall Fitbit experience.

This is curious. The Walk exercise finally showed up in the Recent list. But it was days after I had used it. And I had used it several times. Just odd.

Hi there, @Daddio25.
Thanks for keeping me posted. I agree with you as the Recent list should appear right after doing an exercise. But, I'm glad Walk is now at the top and don't hesitate to let me know if you have any other question about the Exercise app. Have a good one!

It looks like I'm not the only one who moved to a Sense when the Ionic was recalled. I can't stand the exercise shortcut issues. And add to that, my Ionic started auto tracking my indoor bike rides - every ride. It started auto tracking notong after I started using it. The sense can't 'sense' it, apparently. I like a lot about the app, but if this stuff doesn't get changed I will have to move away from fitbit.

Apparently, with the settings being removed, it broke the ability to set interval periods with in the Fitbit Sense Exercise App.

Hi, Can i say it clearly HAS gone unnoticed because this was flagged over 2 years ago - I just bought myself a sense during the 50% off sale and its still the same, so it definitely has been unnoticed and ignored. I really dont want the massive long list of excercises I never do! I just want to have the list of things I actually do and be able to order them myself. Even with the recent, i still have all the other exercises that I dont need, and that still doesnt allow you to order things within 'recent.'
