Tried all troubleshooting and it's a complete mess. Was working perfectly prior to upgrade so seems very likely it has to do with Android 13 upgrade. Does anybody have any ideas or workarounds? This is quite frustrating given Fitbit is owned by Google.

Same issue for me Since updating to Android 13 yesterday. Before that (Android 12) syncing was solid, now it's completely broken. Also this means Google assistant isn't working and notifications.
Not disputing your comment, but it must be more than just the latest app. As soon as I updated up Android 13 beta (on a Pixel 4a) things have been this was. Last week, to get a firmware update, I had to connect my phone to an old Nexus 6P. That worked fine. Now I can barely get either phone to recognize the watch.
I don't think it's the app. The moment I installed 13 beta, Fitbit app stopped communication with Sense. Many beta testers opened tickets with Google. For me, Bluetooth won't pair and app can't find wifi.
Fitbit Sense + Pixel 5 = broken since android 13 update.
I use my Sense with type 1 diabetes monitoring. This really screwed that up, and my confidence and trust with Google + Fitbit (really, same company) is now seriously shaken.
Ill switch my entire family immediately to apple if necessary, because type 1 diabetes isn't a joke.
Hopefully they fix this shortly. I know my opinion doesn't matter as I am a drop in the bucket regardless of any platitudes.
Same thing here. After upgrade to android 13 on my Pixel 6 pro. My Fitbit Sense will not sync to my phone. This is very frustrating that google is trying to make a eco system of devices like Apple, but are failing miserably. You would at least think Fitbit and Google would give a notice to of problem.
I have the same problem. Everything worked until the android 13 update with my sense and pixel 5. Now, my watch won't sync and notifications will not come through. I've tried every fix and none have helped.
Thanks Google. Listen to us please. You've created these things for us to rely on, so please keep them fixed/updated in a timely manner. Should be a simple enough ask since you've beta'd it and Fitbit is YOUR product!
My Charge 5 was syncing fine on Android 13 Beta (Pixel 6), but since updating to the mainline release yesterday it seems to be broken. Realtime stats are still working, but heart health and sleep reports haven't updated. The app shows a higher battery level than is displayed on the device, and it says last sync was at 9:39 pm last night. FWIW I updated Android a few hours before that in the afternoon.
Best AnswerI was able to update to the latest version of the Fitbit app by just turning my VPN on. (In the UK and Vpn also in UK) The latest app update was then available. Seems to be working ok. Poor stuff again by Google / Fitbit.
Best AnswerIt has been happening since Android 13 beta 3, I have notified to Fitbit and Google, but now with the final official Android 13 is the same thing. Couldn't complain much as it was beta, but now with the official it is just unacceptable Google / Fitbit, they knew about it and released it nonetheless.
Best AnswerSame problem with my Sense and Pixel 4XL, sync was good initially after Android 13 update but dropped during yesterday evening and would not reconnect after trying all troubleshooting options until I deleted the Sense from my Pixel bluetooth and added it again as a new device. Sync worked again for an hour or so then by morning failed to sync again no matter what I tried.
Sync is working properly via the Windows App on both my Desktop and my HP laptop so that confirms the issue is with the Pixel 4XL (and likely the Android 13 update) and is not a problem with the Sense itself.
