Can’t Access Other Features When in Exercise Tracking

When tracking an exercise—such as bicycling—I could not access settings or other widgets/apps, even with the exercise paused. It seems like I would have to end the exercise to adjust a setting such as brightness. Is this a limitation or am I missing something (operator error)? The screen wouldn’t swipe or anything. Thanx

Unfortunately, Tim, that's the way it works.

Two quick clicks on the side button will bring up a quick settings menu to adjust i.e. music and brightness

You are correct @Micsb but the user is still very limted to what they can access. 

Can not change playlists. No access to a stop watch or timer. OK we could use Alexa? 

It would be helpful if the exercise function could be moved to the background.
