I have been reading these post all week since getting my Sense on Monday. I am currently using ver. 44.128.4.17, with all the issues people seem to have, I was wondering can you NOT update your Sense or is it an automatic update?

No, it's not automatic. As long as you do not perform a factory reset, you should stay on the version you have now. You will see irritating banner in the Fitbit app tho. You can dismiss it but it will reappear. @cplmckenzie

You can just dismiss the banner on your fitbit app. It will still appear when you open the app but you don't have to accept. (Lot's of Ionic users avoid the updates as it can brick the device and fitbit won't help)

@cplmckenzie considering that you say that you are receiving your Sense next Monday, technically you do not yet have a sense with any firmware yet.
However version 44.128.4.17 is the latest firmware which will be installed when setting up the Sense.

If you read the original post, I said "I got my Sense on Monday" - past tense, not "I am getting my Sense on Monday" - future tense. Technically I got my Sense Monday 12-14-2020

But you have the latest firmware, which version do you want to prevent?

Hopefully the next update fixes the HR issue.
