Hi @tylerrock08  - yes you can use the buttons or the watch Settings menu but be careful.

 

Wait at least several minutes once the process starts, it's not like a restart. If the process fails or is too rushed the factory reset has been known to fail and then the watch is useless.

Love the answer, yes you can, but you can't get the instructions... It is all about timing.... 

Do this at your own risk... 

1) Don't have the device plugged in or charging.

2) Press and hold side button for about 8 seconds you will feel a short vibration. 

3) Wait until Fitbit logo appears, then disappears...

4) Immediately release then press and hold again this time wait for another vibration.

5 ) After vibration release button, the second vibration starts factory reset. 

6) Wait, don't interrupt or have power loss or device is useless.
