Recently I noticed I am no longer able to share my exercise/stats/maps.
I click on the completed exercise, share icon, map (that is what I want to share) and it does not load any of my maps. When I try to share anyway I get the error:
"An unknown error occured"
I have done all the restarting, reinstalling, ect. already.
Does anyone know what changed?

The issue I reported via this thread on September 22 is now fixed with the new release/update. Perhaps there are other issues, however the sharing/map issue is now resolved.
I had the same problem before and maps are not showing. This morning I see an update and installed it. Maps are showing now but I cannot share my exercise, saying permission for this feature may have been disabled. Suggested me to change my permissions in settings. Would anyone know what should be changed to enable "sharing" again?
I did go through all the settings, reset, reinstall. "An unknown error occured" does not give me much to go on???
Best AnswerI'm having this too
Think there was an update installed in last couple of days, but not changed any permissions

Hi everybody Thank you for your messages and information.
@RebPet , Thank you for the picture shared.
Just to confirm and summarize your reports. (Please correct me if something was not understood correctly)
Some of you do not see the share button on your activities.
Some of you do not see the maps to share.
The 2 error messages that some of you have seen, are the "An unknown error occured" and "permission for this feature may have been disabled".
@Jekko Thank you for letting us know that clearing the cache dd not help with the maps, but do you see the share button?
@All If you haven't done so, try clearing the cache, to see if this helps you with each other issue with the feature.
On your phone go to settings> Apps >Fitbit App and clear the cache.
No worries all the synced data will remain saved in your accounts.

Best AnswerI was getting permission error. Granted all permissions, uninstall app, reinstalled app, restarted phone, disconnected and reset device. Still the same. There will be an app update in a couple days to resolve
