I have used the same plug/wall socket and my Fitbit sense just stops charging at 99%. I’ve only had it since Christmas and it was perfect, but last week or so it won’t charge to 100% 😞 Has anyone experienced anything like this?

I don't understand the obsession with 100% charge.
1) Charge % is just an approximation at best.
2) Maybe you are at 99.499% charged instead of 99.501%. Is that enough to worry about?
3) For lithium battery longevity, it is best to keep charged between 20% and 80%, though higher charge occasionally is understandable if know not going to be able to charge for a long time. Charging 5 or 10 minutes at a time is fine; no need to make every charging a marathon session.

Welcome to the Fitbit community.
How long after it hits 99% have you waited? In my tests it can take around 10 minutes for it to actually hit the 100% mark.
9:45 PM - 7% put on charger
10:15 PM - 69%
10:30 PM - 93%
10:35 PM - 96%
10:40 PM - 98%
10:45 PM - 99%
10:50 PM - 99%
10:54 PM - 100%
Personally I just do top off chargings when I'm in the shower and getting ready. 15 minutes here or 30 minutes there and that gets me a good 30% to 60% additional battery.

Think I will just follow advice and do short charging time. I honestly thought it was best to charge it fully! Live and learn 🙂

Hi @Lanaabraham - it's not quite that simple; charging from 99 to 100% can take a good 15 minutes.

I know it’s is pathetic of me to worry about that last % it might be a fluke but I cleaned the back of my watch, especially where the 4 pins are and it is charging to 100%
Thank you all for your replies.

@Lanaabraham Yeah it'll get there eventually. Like we've said, it can take what feels like forever especially when getting to 90% is pretty quick.
