Connected GPS with Sense

Well I’ve got to say I’m really enjoying my new Sense after upgrading from my Blaze.  However, is there a way to use your phones GPS instead of the inbuilt one?

When I try to start an activity, it takes forever to load the GPS and then spends the rest of the time disconnecting and reconnecting constantly, which makes the tracking disappointing. I’d be happy to just use my phone GPS like I could with my blaze because I carry that for safety reasons anyway.
I’m actually tempted to go back to wearing my Blaze for exercise, which just seems ridiculous, doesn’t it?

No it's not possible (at the moment?)

I have my GPS set up through my phone for my Sense.

It makes sence if you have your phone with you. I have to remember to go into Exercise on the watch to press start beforehand for the activity then remember to press stop but it is giving me the map of my route, distance, etc. on the app.

I noticed that too. When it re-connects my location is all over the map and draws streets I have not been walking to. It takes some time to connect too.

Just like to add my voice to this older thread - my Sense will lose GPS signal at least once per run ever time I run. When it does happen it indicates that it's trying to reconnect, but it often takes awhile, and results in my post run map to be incredibly inaccurate. Whenever I get the vibration that GPS signal is lost, I take my phone out and try to sync with the Sense - sometimes it seems like this helps it to reconnect, but it's annoying and I still get bad post run map data.

I'm using my Sense while I train for a marathon and it's very frustrating and something I never experienced on my Versa 2. I'd love for there to be an update which would allow the Sense to work in connected GPS mode.

i just updated from Versa 2 to Versa Sense after my phone got soaked in a rainstorm.  3 runs in a row and GPS did not remain connected the whole run and cut out portions of my run. Paved trail pretty much out in the open, a few trees here and there.. seems if it loses connection its toast for the rest of the run.  Not good if you are triaing and need your stats thats for sure.
