I currently have the Versa 2 and am very disappointed that it doesn't display a laps count while swimming. The original Versa displayed lengths and distance, while the Versa 2 has been downgraded to showing time only.
Does anyone know if this feature has been reinstated with the Sense?
Thank you.

Hi @HelenK80. Welcome to the Community Forums.
Thanks for your interest in the Fitbit Sense and for your feedback about the Versa 2. Let me explain that currently the Sense will show your swim lengths, duration, distance, and pace while tracking your activity with the Exercise app. I understand how helpful it's to see your laps count while swimming and let me recommend to share this idea in the Feature Suggestions board. Our developers often review this place and take our members ideas into consideration to enhance our products and your experience with them.
Have a nice day.

From what I've seen, many many people have been requesting a lengths display on the Versa 2 for over a year on the Feature Suggestion Board and nothing's come of it (it apparently hasn't even been included in the Versa 3!), so I don't see much point.
So does the versa 3 or the sense display laps during the activity. I too was very disappointed to find out the versa 2 only displays time during the swim.
Hi @Thayes6678 I can confirm that the Sense displays swim laps on the watch, but the Versa 3 does not (why I dont know as it has the necessary hardware, but it doesnt display swim laps). I would go with the Sense. I really like mine.

The charge never had this feature but it would have been nice. Just knowing swimming time is pretty basic. It obviously has the data since it shows it to you in the app.
Best AnswerI've sense 2 and I can't see laps during swimming. Do I need to change any settings?
Even the cheap Honor Band 5 and the Samsung Watch4 both show swimming laps during activity. I set targets by activity and not by time. It currently shows the duration that by common sense I would be able to see on the swimming pool clock. So dumb and expensive device Sense 2, doesn't show laps.
Best AnswerWow... they made me pay a lot more for the SmartDumbWatch and a fitness non-tracker Sense 2 where they have downgraded the features? Sense is cheaper and better than Sense 2. A basic & cheap fitness tracker from Huawei will show the lap counter during swim... I didn't have to pay £260 for this crap.
Best Answer@Kaps2000 Swimming in general has been very downgraded also on the mobile app. The lap breakdown is also gone. For swimming, Fitbit probably is worst possible choice.
