Does the Sense have the ability to spot check SpO2 any time?

I know the Sense has the nightly SpO2 tracking, but does it have the ability to spot check SpO2 any time? Is the SpO2 still shown as variations on a chart or can we access actual percentages? I have a lung disease and all I am looking for in a smart watch or fitness tracker is the ability to check my SpO2 at any time.

Thanks!

I can not understand why it's not possible to get real time readings, how hard can it be to add this? Samsung did this on galaxy watch 3. Perhaps I will return my sense and get a galaxy watch 3 🙂

No spot check yet, but vote to get Fitbit to pay attention to this feature request: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Feature-Suggestions/Check-my-Sp02-pulse-ox-at-anytime-on-supported-F....

I have a pulse ox that sends the data to my phone in real time so I can always keep an eye on my levels with out having to look directly at the device on my finger. I use it primarily with my tread mill and rower which each have a little shelf to hold cell phones, tablets etc. Not a perfect solution but a good step. It's by Wellue.

I’m interested in this product but I’m not seeing for $40/$50. It’s $210 in Canada which is about $150 USD.

My Fitbit 02 is between 89-94 nightly. I’d like a more accurate reading.

I'm not sure I can post the link but the device is by Wellvue as I said and it is available on Amazon as well.

I took back a $400 apple series 7 watch because I wanted a watch that’s more of a health & fitness tracker but was disappointed just yesterday when I found out from fitbit  tech support that NONE of their top Fitbit watches SPOT CHECKS SP02 which to me makes no sense. The apple was missing detailed sleep data but IT DID SPOT CHECK YOUR SP02 during the day or even when exercising!! I do like the Sense but I just got it Jan 6th 2022 and “may” return it if I find another brand like Garmin or Samsung among others in this price range that DO check the SP02 both when sleeping AND at any given moment when you want to check it!! These engineers who designed this $200-$300 watch amaze me on how stupid they are not to have a spot check feature. I also find the watch isn’t as easy to navigate around as the apple series 7 even though it didn’t have the more detailed health features this one does.

No.  Fitbit will not allow its users to have on demand or continuous SPO2 readouts or downloads on any of its watches.  Heavy demand for that, no reason given for not allowing it.

My versa never got real time or on demand SPO2, just the same old, same old mystery sleep chart and a well hidden nightly average during sleep.

Yes the SPO2 feature is the downfall of the Fitbit watch as is the subscription they have the audacity to ask the buyer to purchase when they already bought the watch! That’s absurd! There are better health & fitness watches out there.

SPO2 is the great mystery of Fitbit - they have a viable sensor, but all
they use it for is 1. a mystery variance chart that tells you nothing
viable, 2. If you can find it - not in the app but on the watch, an average
and range for your sleep spo2. Ignoring that the numbers are consistently
lower by 3 to 5 points than a finger clip would pick up, you can't actually
do a real chart of O2 during sleep, you can't download the raw data,
sometimes it doesn't bother to take the readings (even though it says you
are sleeping) - but the real problem, you can't do on demand / realtime,
can't chart that, can't download that. The O2 sensor is shut off when it
thinks you are awake. It can't be about battery consumption since it would
be either when you want it to monitor, or just want spot readings, and most
of us get that this sort of use decreases charge life.

Now, it seems that Fitbit is making new watches dumber than ever so it can
claim to be doing new even as it avoids anything that will take away from
Google watch sales. Hmm - do Google watches have usable SPO2 sensing?

To any Fitbit repo - some of us have been asking about the lack of real time and / or on demand SPO2 on the several Fitbit's with appropriate sensors for a few years now - why won't you tell us why we still can't have it?  Instead you close out discussions, censor discussions or just plain ignore us.  Please give us a definitive answer before we all give up on Fitbit and spend $40 on Amazon for a watch that will do what we have been waiting for you guys to deliver for some years now.
