This is a consistent issue:
When I can feel "my heart beating through my chest", I take an ECG reading. The inconclusive results in the app as well as the actual ECG reading will show my BPM above 145, while the clock face only shows low 100's, ex: 109.
I am aware that the Fitbit can't analyze heart rates above 120.
I am using the standard clock face, Spectrum.

During your ECG you will see the Heart Rate being recorded.
Your watch is showing the average heart rate over a (I believe) ten second period.
Also while doing an ECG you arms are stationary, this giving a more accurate reading.
I'm not sure, but during an ECG, does fitbit use the optical sensor, or the electrical pulses to detect heart beets.
