Yesterday my sense logged 58000 steps. I was driving. I did not put my fitbit in driving mode. I don't even know how to do that. Why did this happen?

That occasionally happens to my Charge 4. Yesterday I was credited with 40,000 steps in a 15 minute period which works out to walking at a rate of about 100km/hr. Interestingly, the distance (in km) that it showed me was correct - only the steps were wildly incorrect.
