The sense and app are not working together. No GPS data on my app.the exercise tile freezes and I have to force quit the app to get out of it. I have raised a case over a week ago. Still no correspondence

Hi @Suzeans - the new V4 Fitbit App came out September 2022. A lot of people reported at that time the issues with it.
A few of them have been fixed and others introduced so it depends on which version you are using as to what doesn't work.
It is taking a very long time to get it working anything like the stable V3 version. Some of the features that were removed may never come back.

I am having a similar issue. When I press the exercise app on my fitbit Sense it just goes back to the previous screen. I am unable to track any of my exercises in real time that I am doing them. It's as if the pre-loaded list of exercises are gone. What happened? I haven't had a recent firmware update on my fitbit. Why would that disappear. It's like my fitbit is crashing when I want to choose exercises. What is the fix, fitbit???

I’ve reported this issue and had several correspondence regarding it. Fitbit have told me there is nothing they can do about it in the time being and we just have to wait. This has not given me any faith in a company and product I used to have so much respect for.

I wonder if this is related to the issue I reported where when trying to manually add an exercise in the phone app I get "time cannot be in the future..." even though the activity was 20 - 30 minutes ago?

I’m not sure but it wouldn’t surprise me. The thing is they need to sort it out. Especially as this is supposed to be an actual smart watch/fitness device! My son would like a new smart watch for his birthday and this has really put me off of getting him a Fitbit. I’m sure it will be the same for many others if this isn’t resolved.

Seems to correspond with Google takeover. Iam beyond frustrated.

I was able to fix the exercise app freeze. I did a factory reset. WARNING: Before you do that, make sure you do one last sync with your fitbit app. Then on you fitbit device go to Settings->About Sense->Factory Reset.
It will warn you that you will lose all your saved data but that isn't true since your data is saved on the cloud and fitbit app. It just resets a few configurations on your device (ie: clock face, which you can restore whatever you had before). When I go to my app, it has all my historical data. There may be a few other things that get changed around that I havrmt come across yet, but it's all easily restored or moved around with a tiny bit of time. I don't know if that helps everyone here but I'm glad that I figured out the Exercise app issue as that was a big function I use my device for since Google hasn't been responsive to help with the issue.

Thank you. I will give this a go. Let’s hope it works. My new issue is that it constantly unpairs with my Bluetooth.
