Find my phone app

Seems abit pointless. Soo only works on iOS if you have just recently had the app open say - in the past minute. Otherwise it doesn’t work. Even if the app is running in the background and has everything enabled.

Works fine with my android.

Yes the app needs to be running in the background. If it is in the foreground, the app stops when the phone sleeps.

What OS does your phone run?

Does the weather on the sense get updated?

@Bauer24Perhaps it would be a good idea to ensure the Fitbit app runs in background, for 2 reasons, so you get all your notifications and the find my phone app will work.

It is always running in the background. Still doesn’t always work. Unless the app was last used within the past 2mins. I’m on iOS btw

@Bauer24  This would seem to indicate a Bluetooth issue.

Did you fully check out Sync setup and troubleshooting you may find the answer there.

Yep nothing there that I ain’t tried. Personally I think it’s poor coding on Fitbits behalf. I have a feeling FITBIT app falls sleep in background on the phone after a few mins. Which explains why it doesn’t react to the watch app.

@Bauer24If it works fine for me, and presumably thousands of other satisfied users, and I'm using the same Fitbit App code and Sense Firmware, not sure your logic is correct.

Its more likely a Phone issue, hence the compatibility list, and that also assumes that all phones of the same type have identical firmware and configurations settings, which is probably pretty unlikely.

For instance, as mentioned, if Bluetooth is set to go to sleep on your phone, the connection may no longer work.

Probably best to contact Fitbit Support directly. They may be able to help you.

I have Tile devices. The app runs in the background I never touch it. By using the Tile I can find the phone. I’ve also never had the issues finding the phone using the feature on the apple watches. So If I’ve never had issues with Tiles but there are HUNDREDS of users constantly complaining of syncing issues on Fitbit on here and in other forums. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know the fault isn’t with the phone.

Well it can't be the tracker, two many people have absolutely no sync issues.

A few years ago we had a major sync issue with any phone that had an unrelated app from specific, not Fitbit company. Turned out they did not properly write the app.

When Fitbit is trying to write an app, and the Bluetooth drivers, for many different phones. Like Garmin things don't all ways go right.
