I have a Fitbit Sense and Premium option. Several weeks ago, I received a notice on my Sense to update firmware. I followed instructions and next day got notice about new features. The next day I opened Fitbit program and got notice to install new firmware again. This happened about five more times. I stopped trying to install the firmware update. Several days ago, I did not get the notification to install the update BUT Premium features did not appear when I opened program on my iPhone 14. I went through features and saw Premium features were not activated. I called Fitbit support and got a live person and followed his instructions to activate Premium feathers. Nothing worked. The standard features continued to work. The tech support told me the phone was retired and I would have to buy a new Fitbit device. I was offered another Fitbit at a discount. The Fitbit Sense was working perfectly until I did as notified, to install new firmware. Teck kept saying the Sense was retired and my unit was not under warranty. MY SENSE WORKED AS IT SHOULD UNTIL I FOLLOWED INSTRUCTIONS TO INSTALL NEW FIRMWARE. THE FIRMWARE UPDATE CAUSED MY DEVICE TO STOP PREMIUN FEATURES THAT I STILL PAY FOR YET I HAVE NO WAY TO CORRECT FIRMWARE ERRORS AND FITBIT WILL NOT ACKNOWIGE THE FIRMWARE CAUSED MY PREMIUM OPTION (THAT THEY STILL BILL ME FOR) TO DISSAPEAR. Very poor response from Fitbit.

That’s simply wrong what they are doing. I can’t change my weather app from Celsius to Fahrenheit even though that’s what is marked in my settings. I’m buying an Apple Watch if this continues. I didn’t have problems until it went to google and I installed that and it’s useless. This will be my last Fitbit

Hi @BTP3 - your Sense is probably fine and the premium issues are not even related to the watch.
Firstly try to logout of the app, swipe off the active window and restart the phone and watch.
DON'T uninstall the Fitbit App if you don't have iOS 14 or greater because you might not be able to install it.
When you login again and sync see if the problems are resolved.
For premium issues customer support needs to sort it out and enable it without you doing anything.
If your watch is new you could have received a firmware update but none has been issued recently. Check in the app which version is reported, it should be 44.128.6.17.
You can also see this in watch Settings, About, System info.
If the watch is working fine otherwise there is no need to do an update, and can ignore the message for now. Please post the version you find.

Update: I knew there was no problem with my Fitbit Sense despite the tech telling me I needed to buy a new devise. My problems started with the new firmware install. I worked with my Sense and finally got a complete update installed. I got message to revue new features. I continue to get message to install new firmware update BUT my Fitbit is operating properly with new features but I still get message to install new firmware. I have not contacted Fitbit support again. It is very obvious that the tech I talked too had no clue about solving my problem. His response was, “You will have to buy a new unit. He said I would get a 35% discount. It was also clear he did not know the Sense menu or features. It seems his main thrust was to get me to buy a new devise. There is STILL a problem with the new firmware but Fitbit apparently has no interest in making corrections. Bottom line, my Sense works perfectly but still get message to install new firmware. This is another example of customer NO service.

@BTP3- thanks for the feedback, interesting.
Just curious do the firmware levels on the watch and in the Fitbit App show the same thing? If it's working just ignore the message and avoid making updates.
The message might disappear and come back if there is a new update, just ignore it.
Also ignore any 35% offer it may be cheaper in the shops should you wish to stay but given the response you got another solution might be better, if ever.
Did you try to logout of the Fitbit App, swipe off the active window and for Android clear the storage cache and force stop it?
Restart the phone and watch and sync. This might remove the message.

My FitBit has been updated and it appears to be staying linked with my iPhone better. I added the google app for it too, but I prefer the original. Thank you for reaching out with additional support.

The gear symbol does not appear on my Fitbit since I completed the firmware update. Everything now seems to work but I still get the aggravating notice to install the firmware update.
