Fitbit Sense Charging/Battery Issues

ANSWERED

When I plug in my Sense to charge, it first tells me how much battery I have left...e.g., 86%. After a few hours, I unplug it and to find out how much battery I now have, I plug it in again and it says, 100%.

However, the battery symbol on the watch itself says empty/dead.

I can use the watch, it sends me hourly step notifications, records my steps, etc., but it will not sync with the app. And it frequently loses Always On.

What do I do now? New battery? Something else? Help, please.

Hi @Suileabhain - the new V4 Fitbit App has numerous issues, syncing being one of them.

It sounds like your watch is fine, to make sure first refresh by holding the watch button for 10 seconds till it vibrates and the logo appears and wait for it to start.

Swipe the watch face to the right to get to Quick Settings and check the battery level there.

Try syncing again, it may then work.

The battery problem may be a fault with the clock face which the restart should fix but if it happens again changing clock face may resolve it.

Hi, Guy_

Thank you! I did the 10-second hold and I can now see the battery symbol on the watch is accurate. And I can sync again.
What does the symbol to the right of the battery level mean, please?unnamed.jpg

@Suileabhain- that's good, it shows that the watch is not connected to the Fitbit App, so it's not syncing.

What you see in the app will be out of date. You may need to toggle Bluetooth off/on and/or restart the phone so that symbol goes away.
