Fitbit Sense GPS Map not Complete

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hi Fitbit, I have an issue with my Fitbit Sense that I never encountered with my Previous Fitbit Ionic.

when I use 'Run' mode with Sense - the map seems incomplete, distance is correct, HR maybe fairly correct but the Map isn't (it seems not completing the full loop of my route) that I never encountered on my Fitbit Ionic.

any advice on any fix or steps that I can do to calibrate or to avoid such issue with my fitbit sense?

Thank you!

It means that you have lost somewhere or not acquired in the beginning a GPS connection.

Hi T.Parker, Thank you for your response, just wondering what do you mean by 'lost somewhere'?

actually the ones that are lost are the latter route not the beginning ones. this happened to me yesterday (got fitbit sense yesterday) and actually today as I run again - it happened again and the weird part is I may have lost my GPS for some of the instances but it goes back almost immediately but when I sync my Fitbit Sense to my phone - the route on the map is unfortunately incomplete 😞

The GPS may disconnect. For example, when you move through an area like tunnels or any other place without a clear view of the sky. From my experience, Sense can lose GPS connection at any time (even in open fields), it happened many times. Usually, it does recover quickly and reconnect but sometimes it doesn't. Then the map will be incomplete. The distance is calculated using a watch's motion sensors rather than GPS so it's not affected. Another option is that the watch paused somewhere but if you have a complete distance at the end then it's very unlikely.

I suddenly have the same issue with my versa, out in the open, along major residential roads...the gps appears connected but the map is only partial.  Only noticed this after the latest versa update a few weeks ago...
