Hi
I have a Fitbit Charge 4, and am interested in buying a Fitbit Sense, but I have heard about the issues with the Sense’s accuracy for heart rate. I heard Apple Watch can be more accurate, and I’m curious how accurate it is in general and how it compares to the new Charge 5 and the Apple Watch.

The algorithm by which Resting Heart Rate is calculated is horribly flawed, especially for more athletic people who train at different intensities. Fitbit thinks my low intensity workouts(70-106 bpm) represent my “resting” heart-rate, which is actually 50-65 whenever I check it. My medium/higher intensity workouts (107-165 bpm) it correctly assumes I am doing a "Sport" Useful features like Sleeping Heart Rate(39-49 bpm) is hidden behind a monthly subscription “Premium” membership. Too bad because one of the few things fitbit guesses with better accuracy is when I am sleeping. Also, the watch bands are prone to spontaneously disengaging without reason (the bottom of the fitbit website has a link just for this common warranty claim). Also, my screen became cracked after 6 months for no apparent reason, never dropped it -- even when a felt the wrist band suddenly become loose. Also, battery drains completely in under 12 hours if GPS "accidentally" turns on without you noticing it. I strongly recommend Apple Watch, which has much better connectivity feature especially if you use iphone, but even for android users the Fitbit Sense in my experience is not up the Apple level of quality.
