I bought my Sense in November as a present for my bday. I've always had the Charge, so this was an adjustment. It is normal for my heart rate to be lower when I would upgrade to a new charge. However, it would usually sync within two weeks time. I am now almost 4 months into having the Sense, and it literally will tell me my heart rate is 110 (below fat burn) while I am pouring sweat, heart pounding, as I am trekking up hill. I have tried resetting it several times. At this point it feels like a $200 paperweight, since I can no longer return it, and like an idiot I didn't get a warranty. I lost my husband a year ago, and have gained 25 lbs since. It's hard enough motivating myself to get up daily, and move my body, but my watch not giving me credit for my effort, is demoralizing.

Hi, @Saraplenty, welcome to the community, you will know that the HR data stream is the foundation of many of the Fitbit algorithms. I know newer devices benefit from updated technology (you do not mention which Charge device you used in the past). You may find this article useful How do I track heart rate with my Fitbit device? , there is a section on accuracy.
I hope this is helpful.
Cheers

I had a Charge 4 previously, and had the Charge 3, and Charge 2 before. Never had this issue with anyone of them.

Sense and Versa 3 use Purepulse 2.0 sensor that has been demonstrated (and even ackowneldge by Fitbit moderators) having problems to accurately measure the hear rate. Other trackers such as Charge 4, and even the newer Luxe and Charge 5, use the older generation that provide much better results.
