My Fitbit Sense has suddenly stopped syncing, I noticed I wasn't getting notifications, so I tried to resync it, but that didn't work. I have tried re/uninstalling the app, updating app, restarting watch, restarting phone, turn on/off bluetooth, forgetting the watch under bluetooth, and then I even removed the watch from the app devices, but now I can't add it back since it wont pair. I can get as far as putting in the pairing code, but the connecting button just spins. Help chat told me to factory reset, which didnt work and then gave me a discount to buy a new one. Pretty irritating since the watch is not even 2 years old yet! Anyone else having this problem???

I have the same issue. Every time I open the app it says I need to go to Bluetooth settings, forget Sense, re-connect sense, then go back to the Fitbit app, and pull down to refresh a couple times, "accept" when it asks if i want to pair, and THEN, finally, it will start to SLOWLY, update the info.
If you were trying to create a device to be frustrating, you couldn't have a better starting point. Surely with all the Alphabet $$$$, they can MAINTAIN a good product line. Whey when the big companies take something over, does it go for crap? Just keep it working, or IMPROVE it.
Getting very annoyed with Fitbit / Google.

Yes, this is the "Forum" version of turn it off/on again and see if that fixes it.
It does NOT.
Hey GOOGLE - fix it please.

I thought it was just me but loads of people already to have this issue. So frustrating. Started about 18 months in and now more or less useless

If you have an Android phone and are willing to go back to app v3.90 it is so much better, my watch is staying in sync and the v3.9 app works so much better (sorry to the iPhone users, Apple does not allow installing apps from outside sources).

I have already moved on to another brand. Was not worth waiting for a fix and had no confidence they were even looking at the problem.

Same with my watch, is there a bug or something?

Yes, the Fitbit app version 4. It is full of bugs. Over 2000 posts recently just for sync issues. I reverted back to app v3.9 and all my sync issues disappeared.

Sadly, I too have this problem.
5 to 6 times a day I must reset my sense, restart my phone...sometimes it works...sometimes it doesn't... very frustrating.

I AM SO disappointed with FitBit overall. I have had 3 or 4 and I have experienced issue with every one of them. I am not sure why I continue to believe in their product. I currently have a sense and I have to go through the pairing process about twice a week. As soon as I see the little phone with a line through it show up at the top of my fitbit screen, I know it is done working and it just stops synching and pairing. So what I do is that I open the app, delete the Sense as a device all together, I then shut down and turn the device back of, and I start the pairing from zero on my phone. It is a pain, but it is the only way i can get my device to pair again. It will stay paired for maybe 3 or 4 days max and then I have to do all over again. I can tell you my notifications only work for maybe a day after I got through the pairing process. Sometimes I get a ton of notifications at once and most times i get nothing. Sometimes after I go through the whole pairing process, it still says "Can't connect to sense controls". Overall, very disappointed and I just keep doing it because this thing is fairly new and it has already been replaced once by fitbit - still tons of issues. What I find most unfortunate is that there are never ending comments on forums speaking to the quality of FitBit, and they don't seem to do anything about it. I am not an apple product user, but I am considering an apple watch because I just can't make myself give more money to FitBit.

If you have an iPhone you can't, Apple does not allow it unless you are an app developer. If you have an Android it's fairly simple, but we cannot discuss it here; the key words are blocked and cannot be posted. We would have to discuss via some form of private chat.

You have to find the troubleshooting steps that work for you. For me and my wife it has been: turn off Bluetooth > long press the Fitbit app icon > app info > force stop > restart the watch > restart the phone > turn Bluetooth back on > go into phone settings and make sure watch & phone are connected. Open the Fitbit app and make sure the watch syncs. Repeat when they stop syncing. Some people have had to go so far as uninstalling the Fitbit app and re-installing and setting up the app again.

If you go to the main community forum page (https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Community/ct-p/EN#support) and search the word sync you will see a lot of posts for multiple watch models, and lots of posts with the steps people are taking to get their watch to sync again. Hopefully you can make your own checklist of steps that work for you and then keep doing those things when the watch stops syncing again.
