Fitbit Sense Updating, then Fails

Hi,

Everytime I open the fitbit app on my phone, it tells me there's an update available, so I go ahead an install it.

My Sense syncs & connects fine, and the update is transferred to the watch. Installation starts, as shown on the screen. Phone says " Installation in progress..."

The install gets to about 8 o'clock on the circle progress tracker on watch screen, then stalls, and phone says "Not working? retry" etc. But watch shows a blue tick and restarts. However, phone still tells me there's an update available.

I've tried all the tricks for update failures from the various forums, but nothing changes; it just fails every time.

Or does it? version is 44.128.6.17, which I thought was the latest

Anyone able to help?

Hi @Mayface - it presumably can't update the version as it is already updated.

Try logout of the Fitbit App, swipe off the active window and in Android clear the storage cache and force stop it.

Then login again and sync fully, the message may disappear.

In any case if your watch is working it is not a good idea to make changes if you don't know what the affect will be as it could make it not work.

Original Sense or Sense 2? I didn't think there were any updates available for the original Sense.

Hi @Scott337 - the firmware level is for a Sense, but good point. @Mayface - please verify the firmware level in watch Settings, About Sense (2), System info menu
