One of the primary reasons I purchased the Fitbit Sense was to record steps from the elliptical. I’m very disappointed that the first day it recorded 87 steps and hasn’t recorded anything since. I am on the elliptical 7 days a week for at least 40-45 minutes so it’s extremely disappointing.
Moderator Edit: Clarified subject
@SHMPG you mean it doesn't auto track the exercise or simply doesn't record steps at all? Have you tried starting elliptical exercise manually on your sense?

Hello @SHMPG Welcome to the Community Forums! @Marrrmaduke Thank you for help!
Please note that your Fitbit device is more accurate for step-based activities. In activities such as elliptical, it would be great if you can manually log it to have credit of your activity. For this, please check: How do I add, edit, or delete Fitbit data and activities?
I also suggest visiting the following link to get more details about how to track activities with your Fitbit device.
How do I track my activity with my Fitbit device?
Keep me posted.

Hello @MattJ71 It's great to see you around and thanks for the input!
Elliptical can be a little bit difficult because there may not be sufficient forward motion. Therefore; there might be occasions when a Fitbit device may record less steps. So, to have credit of the full activity, I recommend to manually log it.
See you around!
