When I look at the screen of my Sense when I am walking the current step count doesn’t increase but when I put my arm down and continue walking and then look at it again it increased but doesn’t continue to increase while looking at step count while I continue to walk I tried restarting it and that didn’t change anything so I’m wondering if that is just how it works or if there is a problem?

Yes, @XTR60, that is basically what happens. Your arm quits swinging when you lift it up to look at the screen, so it momentarily does not detect steps. As soon as you start swinging your arms, the count resumes.
