Fitbit Sense not recognizing stairs/floors - but Inspire does.

I recently bought a Fitbit Sense, but it doesn't recognize stairs.  I live in a house with a person who wears an Inspire and it tracks the number of floors correctly (but does not track her sleep - another issue for another day).  Also, there is a greater than 10' elevation difference between floors.

Does anybody have a solution?

@SoozieE have you tried rebooting sense several times by pressing and holding the left button until Fitbit logo appears. Also does it track stairs during your walks uphill or in any other locations?

Does the Sense count the steps as you walk up the stairs?

@SoozieE The person in your house with the Inspire can't have floor counts because that device doesn't count floors at all -- it doesn't have the hardware for it.

I haven't had an issue with floor counts at all.  Are you making sure your arms are swinging as you're climbing the stairs?

I walk with a cane, so one hand is on the rail at all times.  And yes, you are correct, she doesnt have an "Inspire" . . . my bad.

Since the latest software update (.15 at 12-7-2020) the stairs counting is broken, it stays 0 since that update. Is anyone have this problem?

I just got my fitbit sense and it does NOT track my stairs.... i changed my stride i have rebooted..... it also hasnt been tracking my sleep.... i changed it to sensitive and still nothing..

Reminders are suposed to go off evry so many mins that i remain inactive... NOPE

My glucose reminder doesnt go off either, and i have set my alarm every morning and nothing.... my phone alarm is set 20 mins before my watch and i was planning on using it as a backup incase i started to fall back asleep.... guess i need to set 2 alarms on my phone....

I am frusterated..... thinking about returning it and getting a samsung.

Wish it did all the things it says it is supposed to!!!!

Sorry you are all having the same issues!!!
