Hi @Actifgran,
I'd start with a restart by holding your finger over the sensor on the left side for 10 seconds and releasing it. That should at least get it to start recording steps.
As for the syncing, you need to log into your app to do that and your BT needs to be on. If that doesn't work, try clearing the cache on the Fitbit app and open the app again.

Best AnswerJust having same issue again with my second Fitbit sense and only got a few days ago please fix this. I’m getting tired of sending all Fitbit’s back .
Doesnt recognise the steps and doesn’t randomly Loses connection off Bluetooth.
Please advise Fitbit team !
It just dawned on me, @CorinaElena amd @Actifgran, do either of you have any other BT devices or Fitbits in the area when you try to sync? If you do, these either need to be switched off or moved temporarily. What this does is it confuses the Fitbit as to what it should be syncing to.

Best AnswerHi @DramaQueenDiva i don’t have any of what you just mentioned. 🙈. This issue is not just in doors is same while outside for a walk . It seems to be faulty this Fitbit sense just getting a new replacement on the way (3rd one in 3 weeks) fingers crossed 🤞🏻 will be ok 😞 .
I hope this issues get fixed with a software update or something.
Best AnswerI have never ever come across a product that requires other bluetooth devices to be switched off before it works. That would be the kiss of death for any bluetooth product. (I speak as a former bluetooth developer)
Agreed @BlueThunder71 I was just wondering this myself from the last conversation I had on the phone to Fitbit team just left me puzzled when the asked to switch of all the other devices.
