I've been wearing my fitbit to swim almost everyday. Around 2 weeks ago i started noticing that it was overcounting my swim laps quite a fair bit. I've set my pool distance to 50m which is the length of my pool.
This problem only happens when I switch over to swimming freestyle as I usually start in breast-stroke. Does anyone have the same issue? Not sure if it's my swimming form and stroke that is causing it to miscount but it generally logs an additional length midway through my lap while swimming.

Hi, @jameschen welcome to the community, you may be interested in this article How do I track my swims with my Fitbit device? I swim freestyle for 90 minutes each day in a 25-metre pool. I check my lap count every 20 lengths, twisting my wrist at the end of the 20th length gets a 19 but a second or two later I get 20 when my "Sense" has detected the pause. I suspect it is your change in stroke that's at the root of your miscount, I suggest you experiment with your shift in stroke. I occasionally miscount and detect the error on checking, I also note the time I start my swim and know how long I take to complete my programme. I hope this helps.
Cheers
