Fitbit Sense screen gets detached

For a $250 watch, I would have expected this watch to last longer than 18 months. This is the second fitbit sense that I had --- both times, the screen fell off (got detached).

I contacted customer service, they just tell me they regret it but no other run around -- cos it's beyond warranty. pfft. 18 months. Better buy something better out there.
