Hello, I am using the Fitbit Sense for swimming in a 50 meters Olympic pool, a total 1500m by swimming 30 pool lengths.
The device is registering 2300m, 2450m, 2050m, 2350m, 2800m, 2550m…. different data all the time, useless for the device's purpose.
I have properly configured the pool length setting and the intervals off.
I always complete the laps, I am not doing rare things, just swimming freestyle and backstroke.
Seems the technical support from Fitbit is avoiding the case, they tell me to restart the device and go to the pool, unpair and pair the device and go to the pool and check if the app is updated...
Out of ideas, should I move to a different device more specialized? the device was bought around 1 month ago directly to Fitbit, should I return it or will the support team provide me a solution?
I just want to collect the statics from my swimming.

Hi, @Mantemm, welcome to the community, I swim 120 lengths in a 25-metre pool daily with few miscounts occurring. My check system sees me looking at my "Sense" every 20 lengths to verify my mental length count. Note on completion of the 20th length the count is 19 until the second flick of my wrist allows it to detect the end of the last length. On completion of my second length, I check to ensure I started the record correctly ( You do not mention if you are using the Exercise>swim>start sequence or allowing it to auto recognize the swim). While your stroke should not make any difference to the lap count have you tried just swimming freestyle or backstroke and checking the accuracy of the count? You might be interested in this article How do I track my swims with my Fitbit device?
I hope this helps, keep swimming - the best exercise there is.
Cheers
