Since about 3 months or so I notice that the glorious Fitbit app stops syncing with my Sense smartwatch. When I open the app, I see the little warning sign and when I open the device page an tap "sync now", nothing happens. It just flickers one time and still shows that it's not synced with a warning sign.
Only action that does fix the problem is restarting my phone. Just closing the Fitbit app and remove it from recent apps does not help.
This is so lame … especially because it has been working fine for years since I own the Sense smartwatch. So most likely the developers created a new bug with their updates or they re-introduced an old bug. Searching for this problem, I find threads here from 2018 and 2019!

Hi @w-sky, thanks for stopping by, I hope you're doing well. Let me help you sync your Sense to your phone.
Firstly, do you have an Android mobile ? If you do, check if it is a compatible device.
If you updated the Fitbit app lately, please take a look at our help article How do I use the Fitbit app on my Android phone?
Go to the sections "What permissions does the Fitbit app need?", "Why does the Fitbit app run in the background on my Android phone?" and "What settings should I check on my phone?"
