CS agent was in a rush to abandon me it seemed. The issues I have been having are too numerous to mention so this was the rep's last thing on the checklist to do, so I did it, hoping afterward it would either kick things back into working or get me to a tech support rep. No deal, rep left me with a case # and an apology saying she will have someone look into my warranty status and email me back as my Sense is unusable now. I had initially been able to connect to my new Pixel 7's bluetooth, and the app had started running the firmware update with a % level at the top, but my screen timed out (as screens do when you're typing to CS on a laptop) and when I unlocked my phone again this is what I saw in the app:Fitbit App
Which is incredibly weird. CS said to force close app and reopen, and I asked if I should clear cache and she said no, so I did that. My Sense, meanwhile, is stuck with the twinkly Fitbit logo and the blue circle at the 1 o'clock position for over 1.5 hrs, and now that I restarted the Fitbit app it says it is updating my Sense but there is no longer a % at the top, the red line at the bottom is stuck at the beginning, and this is how it's been.
Is there a way to do a factory reset do-over when you're stuck in updating after a factory reset? I don't know if a hard restart will work (holding the left button down for 10s) to even get into that screen to choose the option, so I'm wary to try it. I've had it since November 2020 and taken excellent care of it, so any issues I've had of this nature are related to the Sense itself or firmware/software issues or planned obsolescence. The manufacturer's warranty is 1yr, so I'll likely get no help there (not that Fitbit has EVER emailed me back like they said they would about anything ever) but I'm not sure what to do next. I want my Sense working and on my wrist, not sitting on my desk doing diddly but forcing me to keep the app open on my phone just in case.
Thoughts?

I'd clear the cache on the app just to get the app back up and running. It may even kick start your factory reset too.

I did that anyway for the reason you said. After it finally finished not setting up properly I went and did a second factory reset without a hitch.
