My wife has a Fitbit Sense and I have a Versa 2. Whenever we hike or go for a walk, my Versa 2 always records a greater distance. Our normal 4 mile walks shows 4.4 on my versa, and a 6 mile hike in the San Diego foothills recorded a 1.3 mile difference. Any ideas??

Welcome to the Fitbit community.
Curious, how do you know your walk is 4 miles and the hike is 6 miles? It's that just based on your wife's Versa 2? Or are they paths already measured?
Either way, check out this page: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1141.htm#Can
There's an area explaining how it calculates distance with stride and steps. Stride is automatically calculated but you can adjust it manually if you choose to. The same link shows you where you can adjust it. However, if you're tracking your walks and hikes as an exercise, it's using GPS which is more accurate. Are you both manually tracking it using the auto recognized exercises?
