Floor Accuracy

The floor count for my FitBit Sense is almost always low. I can count the floors I climb and it will usually miss between 20-50%.

FitBit One was great (very accurate). When I switched to Charge 3, it lost a bit of accuracy, but was still at least 90% on target. Now, my upgrade to Sense has now dropped that to 80% at best.

Is there anything that can be done to make it better? (software tweak, configuration change, etc.???)

Thank you.

@jhbrooks   My experience has been the same as yours ever since I changed from my One to any Fitbit on my wrist.  Except that I never got as low as 50%.  I also noticed that I would get different floor counts on hilly walks when doing exactly the same walk from one day to the next.  I wear a Versa 3 now, but never noticed much difference among different Fitbits.  I know that it has to sense a 10 ft continuous altitude change to register a floor.  My theory (ok, guess) is that certain ways of walking up stairs or up a hill can appear that your wrist goes down, even briefly.  No floor.  Well that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

After all these years of wrist worn Fitbits, I don't see any change coming.  Lately, Fitbit seems to have a problem with users getting insane floor counts, thousands and thousands.  Perhaps Fitbit will need many, many more reports of very low floor counts to look closely.

Maybe you can be as lucky as I am.  I recently earned the Satellite badge (35,000 floors) and that's as far as they go.  Probably should have had it more than a year ago.

@LZeeW I got the satellite badge back when I still had the FitBit One so it was counting the floors fine then. You're right that there's nothing after that. I'm up to almost 66,000 floors now (more really since it has been losing them for a couple years now) and nothing more recent than satellite.
