GPS and battery life

My Sense seems to be activating the GPS automatically and it is draining the battery!  I love the GPS when I activate an exercise however, it will start up and I don’t even know it and run until the next day. Because I have turned everything off to maintain the battery I don’t realize the battery is dead until I am ready to run and guess what!!! I have zero battery!  Very frustrated! Please help!

GPS doesn't run outside of the activity. If you tracking the exercise you can see the GPS is connected. Outside the activity, it won't be running. Something else drains your battery.

It is activating somehow?  I will even have a squiggly map in my app display.   Any suggestions?

Hi, @Kipp52, as @t.parker says GPS only engages if you commence an exercise by swiping to "Exercise" from the clock screen and touching the start arrow. Auto recognised exercises do not start the GPS. If you swipe left from the clock screen>exercise>walk>swipe up to GPS you can turn GPS off here. If something else is draining your battery this article may provide a clue Can I extend my Fitbit device's battery life? 

I also suggest you familiarise yourself with the manual.
