Get notification services not running on Sense

I bought a fitbit sense about five weeks ago. I really like many of the functions, but I haven't managed to get notifications from my phone to the watch. I gett the calls, they are coming through, but nothing else in terms of emails, messages from Facebook and Viber etc. I have a Huawei P30 pro.

I've read in a couple of threads here about people having similar issues, and tried a couple of things, like disconnecting Bluetooth, cleaning the cache and replacing the device in the fitbit app, but it doesn't work. I saw someone saying that you shouldn't have the app with the messages opened, because it just shows notifications that you haven't read, but that didn't work either. I have tried restarting my phone several times and also turning it completely of and on again, but I still se the same message in the fitbit app about notifications: "notification services not running. A phone restart is required to re-enable notifications on your tracker."

 

Someone who knows what I should try next? It would be very helpful to be able to use the notifications.

I'm glad you like many of your Sense features and thanks for the detailed information. Because you're getting that message, let me explain that our team is aware of that some of our members aren't receiving notifications when syncing with Huawei devices and they're working to identify a solution. I'm sorry you're going through this experience and I appreciate every step tried on your own. While there isn't a time frame for the fix, please know that your feedback won't go unnoticed and will be passed along so our team can be informed of the impact to you, as well as other Community members.

I downloaded the new update for my fitbit app in Google play store and was so happy, bacause suddenly I got notifications about emails on my fitbit sense too, not just in the phone. But it worked about five minutes and then it stopped working again. So I guess I'll just have to wait and hope it will be fixed in the future. Because I still would like to be able to get notifications. 🙂

I cleared the cache and installed the app again after the update and now all the notifications works since like 24 hours. 🙂 (But I almost don't want to write it here to jinx it. ;)) Have a nice weekend.
