Heart rate tracking randomly STOPS

3 times this month my Sense stops tracking heart rate. This results in no steps, zone minutes. Etc. Restarting the watch starts heart rate tracking again, but the missed information does not post to the app. This is my 6th and final FitBit. None have performed past 1.5 years and are a huge waste of money.

Aside from why heart rate tracking stops, that should have no effect on step counting.  Zone minutes, calorie burn and others, but not steps.

I beg to differ. No steps were recorded from 4-8pm, which is when the heart rate tracking didn't work. I had achieved 250 steps at 4 and 5pm per my watch and Ice skated for an hour 6-7pm. I restarted the watch at 8 pm.

My point was that if your steps stopped getting recorded also, perhaps there was something else that caused them all to stop working.  I guess the Sense does not have an setting to turn the heart rate sensor off, but on others I have seen where users have stopped getting zone minutes and very low calories burned but still get normal steps, then find out they accidentally had heart rate turned off.

I'm not saying you didn't get steps, just that there might have been another cause for that, say perhaps they were registered on watch but not transmitted to phone.
