How do I add steps tile back to the Fitbit app?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I recently updated my app, and when I did, it dropped almost all of the data displays that mattered to me. It now only wants to show me calories burned, days of exercise and mindfulness. If I try to edit, it only gives me the option to add water and blood glucose tracking. I wanted to make sure I made 10000 steps yesterday, but by now I’ve wasted nearly an hour so far trying to access this information. I have tried searching the forums, looking on the online dashboard, and every single option within the Fitbit app. This is so frustrating. Can anyone help?

Hi @Zonar7J5  - when you edit tiles, look for the + immediately below Edit in the top square, there you can put back and move entries to select primary goal.

Thanks very much. I can’t actually do this anymore—I used to be able to do it before the update, but ever since the update the only options I’m given upon clicking the plus sign below edit are to either add the calorie tracker front and center or to remove it. Steps are no longer an option. I’m sorry it took me so long to respond to this, but I’ve been a bit busy over the holiday and I’ve been working on trying to fix this whenever I’ve had a free minute. As it happens, I barely ever use the app anymore because it doesn’t really tell me the things I want to know. I’ve been mostly focusing on steps lately and I am used to being able to track my average for the week, etc. Without this feature on the app I really only use my Sense by itself. Your post at least confirmed for me that I have indeed been trying to do the right thing and that I’ve been looking in the right place when trying to edit what I see in the app. Alas, steps are just gone. I’ve been through almost all of the options available, adding them all in and taking them out, to see if I was missing something. I guess I’ll just wait until there is another update as this seems to be a glitch.

Hi, @Zonar7J5  - thanks for the feedback, after syncing your watch succesfully you have a couple of options.

  • Clear Fitbit App cache and force stop it
  • Logout and login
  • Uninstall the Fitbit App and reinstall it and redo notifications settings and any special Settings.

Try them individually and see which one fixes the problem.

Edit isn’t appearing and nor are tiles. This latest update has ruined everything and made spending so much money on this Fitbit charge 5 useless! For goodness sake examine and correct this latest update. August 2022
