How do I adjust the brightness on my Sense?

I am trying to increase  the brightness on my Sense.  I go to settings.  select brightness...but I am unable to view.  I can't see any of the choices to select.  even trying a flashlight.  even when is barely see maximum..I can't make it work.

Use Quick Settings

Swipe the watch from the left edge to the right

and tap the moon to get out of sleep mode

You can also adjust the brightness with the top right icon.
